Hi Guys

I've finally got a free weekend!! Main objective is to camp along the top of Butcher Country track for a night out under the stars.
Thinking of camping at Cheynes Bridge on the McAllister River friday night. Can meet here saturday morning if you cant make it friday.
Saturday through Licola then down black soil pit track to butcher country tk. Set up camp early Saturday arvo and camp up on top of the ridge on Butcher country for spectacular views and hopefully a clear night of star gazing.
Sunday drive the remainder of Butcher country to Howitt Planes rd and 2wd home from there. Open to suggestions for a couple of other people to join the trip but don't want a huge convoy.

Not a lot of technical driving but will be a bit of time in the vehicle due to the remoteness.

I’m keen mate, is it going to be a car bashing weekend? Not really into damaging my car.

Also have a mate with a defender who would be keen.

No not a car basher. Would rate it easier but the discription fit better as there are a few river crossings at the bottom and a few steep sections, but nothing a bash plate and side steps cant handle.

Sorry mate I thought I'd sent you a PM but it mustn't have gone through. Butcher country is still closed (maybe due to the fire that went throught there earlier in the year) so trip is a no go. Will find another weekend sometime and try again, but starting to lead into the christmas rush.
