Wombat run in winter. Lots of tracks still open out there. It should be Medium depending how wet the tracks are.

Whilst I won't do insane bog holes, there will definately be some mud around epsecially if it rains. Possibility of a creek crossing (depth varies by rain) that I've been wanting to go to for a year. Also will have a good climb. If it's slippery, might be a winch job up. Last year a LC busted a diff going up with too much power.

Whoever came on my trips before, it'll be similar tracks we drove before. I might or might not go into unknown / unnamed tracks (potentially a challenge, or can get a bit sketchy at times as they might not be as well maintained as the main tracks), if there's one thing I know about the Wombat.. is that an unsuspecting track can turn into batshit crazy (especially with a little rain) - so be well equipped just in case. As always come at your own risk.

Recovery gear required, winch recommended. Please don't come on your highway terrain tyres.

Recommended Setup
  • 32 inch muddies or aggressive A/T (nothing less and no HT)
  • 2 inch lift or you will do more damage than you should.. and might bottom out on some places
  • Working winch highly recommended
  • Front and Rear recovery points
  • Extensive Recovery Kit in good condition (Snatch strap, extension strap, snatch block, dampener, shackles etc)
  • Snorkel if we find deeper creek
