A solid day trip around the great playground that is Tallarook. This is a trip for those with reasonable offroad experience, and will also provide sections where more advanced drivers in modified vehicles can take on something harder and regroup at the end of that section. There will be something for everyone.
As far as vehicle setup, a decent set of all terrains will be fine for the general trip outline providing it is dry. The steeper sections become very slippery in the wet. My wife drove the general planned route in our FJ when it was stock and only got hung up on one track. If you want to take on the challenges it is lifted on 33s territory and a front locker won't go astray either. We will walk and talk over any of these tracks before attempting.
Please be self sufficient with food and water, enough fuel to cover around 80-100km on dirt.
Please come with whatever recovery gear you have, everyone helps everyone but try to lighten the load on those helping you. Winch is always recommended but dont stress if you havent got one. And please note that rated front recovery points are mandatory for this trip. Bring toilet paper too - no dunnies out there.
This will be a full day trip, anticipate airing up around 4.30pm.
