Base camping/4wd trip Mid/late Nov EASY

Thinking of doing a base camp trip, partners/family friendly. The chance to get away but not have the stress of a rolling camp and also option to just stay at camp and relax or day trip if up to it.

Actual date and location is open, but proposing taking a week off, 20-28 Nov and go to Skipworth. Nice place to camp, with town not far away. But open to other camps or somewhere else entirely like Talbotville.

Covid roadmap allows 30 people by this time, so should be good to have a reasonable group.

Mt Terrible to Matlock
Three Chain Tk loop
Craig's Hut

Hi Matt, at this stage will have to say no to joining, as we are heading off around Vic with the van on Nov 8th for a few weeks, if we open up by then. If this does change, will let you know.

That's everyone currently invited. I've asked a work friend who might join (prob not the whole week though).

Feel free to invite/recommend someone else for an invite. Who else do we usually have on these trips? Don't want it to be a party hehe, but a few more won't hurt.

Kelvin seemed nice back on that day trip, he any good to camp with?

Changed trip start to Tuesday, should be easier to find a camp spot on a week day,.

I'm flexible though if a few want to go back to a longer trip.

Noted some potential day trips, feel free to mention if there's something to want to explore.

Didn't get any takers from the other group.. Everyone seems busy, Another person tried to run a trip in early November and same result.

Unless you're still looking to get away Nick, I'll cancel this.

Anyone have interest in doing a trip early/mid Jan. Say 10-16th (after the holiday rush)? Considering a similar base camp idea (for partners/family), timing would also allow to do tracks like Mt Stirling that are only open over summer/early autumn.
