Day trip taking in the good tracks of Narbethong and the surrounding area.

 

[Note: the original trip leader cannot make it due to mechanical issue, thus I will take over the trip.]

Note: this is a HARD trip for experienced 4wder and well setup 4WDs only. We will tackle some very slippery and hard tracks with steep decent and ascent.

Hey all, after an awesome snow drive yesterday I munched my rear locker and will be pulling diff out this week.
Totally devo as I won't have it ready for Saturday, and i love the tracks in this area.
If anyone wants to lead the trip can still go ahead, otherwise cancelled.

I know the area fairly well kelvin keen to come along as a navi don't think I'll have my motor back together by then bit far to bring the black shorty anyhow

I have asked Eddie to send me some track name that he original plans to do. I think Strickland spur track is one of the well-known track in the area.

Hi Jake, I've received a track log from Eddie who was the original trip leader.

I will do some research and confirm with you later this week. One of the well known good tracks is called Stickland Spur Track. I think we will follow the route.

Liza and I are heading up to our favourite camping spot on the Murray at Tocumwal for a long weekend of r and r, 4 days of sitting around the camp fire cooking heaps of food in the camp oven having a roaring fire and plenty of drinks with no TV, Radio, phones or any other modern annoyance.
