Nice work David, very impressive!
Just wondering if the shock absorbers are fitted the right way up as they might hold water that way?

Hi Pete, your the first to notice, I put them on upside down as the trailer was also upside down when I fitted them. It was just a mock up so it was all pulled apart. They will go on the correct way on the final assembly. I might throw in a few incorrect bits and see who notices ha ha....

Certainly looks purpose built. Any idea of towing weight?

Thanks Joel, Shane, Malcolm.

Lots of questions about weight. I am not sure and I am trying to keep it as light as possible while still strong.

Once I register it I have to weight it so I will let you all know the weight then,

HI All,

Been very busy so I have not had a lot of chance to work on the trailer.

Here is some updated photos of the progress.

Starting to fit the alloy guards.

This is going to be the pull out draw with sink and stove on it.

This is the battery box, one on each side.

Showin the rear storage area under the canopy.

Here it is with the top coat on. Starting to come together.

Placing the alloy on it now so it is starting to look cool.

Hope to get more time on it over Xmas, hope to complete it actually so migh be on the tracks just after Xmas

Oh and one more of the suspension,.

Hi Dave,

where red did you get the independent suspension kit from? I am looking at making one very similar to this, but going to have a camper built into the lid (hopefully) otherwise I will go with a hard shell RTT.

cheers

Hi there.

The suspension is from Huntsman in Melb, http://www.huntsmanproducts.com.au/, pretty good system and so far no issues with it.
I have had it on the road now for a while and it had to have a couple of adjustments but now it seems to have settled in good.

It's hard to believe this is a hand-built camping trailer in your backyard.............. Commercial Level! .............
