Hi all I'm planning to do a weekend trip around licola before heading back to work. Route is as followed
head out of licola to glen cairn rd where we follow it to bull plains rd
then into low range on black soil gully rd which turns into Macalister river track
right onto butcher country and butcher country link track
then on Caledonia river track where we can decide to head out via dingo hill track or caladonia river track
plan to spend the night on caladonia river track as there are a few nice campsites along the river and you get to have a sleep in as its a short climb out of the valley to either mt howwit rd or tamboritha rd then home.
As as its national park no dogs or firearms and as the tracks are pretty steep with a few switchbacks so no camper trailers. Will be bush camping Saturday night so have to be self sufficient(food/water) and all cars MUST have front and rear rated recovery points.
this is a touring trip, not a winch challenge so if u plan on going 100kmh the whole time please pass
i will be camping at Barkley bridge camp Friday night if people would like to come the night before.
thanks Antony
