Join 4WD TRIP - 12-13 Conondale/Kenilworth .. (rvprado)

12-13 Conondale/Kenilworth trip EASY / MEDIUM

Ok all im heading out to the Conondale/Kenilworth area again staying Saturday night.

My plan at this stage is to head out to Charlie Moreland day use area about 12 have some lunch then at 1300 some wheeling for the avo, 3 or 4 hours then stop for a feed and set camp then after dark hit the tracks again.

Sunday at 0900 will meet at Charlie Moreland for those that dont stay or only want to do Sunday. Then we will head over to lake Borumba then round near Jimna and back to Charlie Moreland.

This is my plan at these stage but subject to change.

I will have my 2 sons with me aged 5 & 7 and will be staying at Booloumba Creek 4 camping area iv never camped here beforebut it is an open area and it does have facilities, i attach a link for anyone that wants to join us there.

This is the intended route for Saturday, there is some black top driving to do this loop but have minimized it as much as i can with what info and maps i have. I have also got some alt routes mapped out as well as some other side tracks that we can do depending on time and weather.

Ok all only a couple days away now so was just wondering if every one can confirm there attending and weather its both days or just the 1 of the 2 day.

If anyone is coming from Brisbane im happy to travel as a group out there.

Hi Shane.
I would advise contacting NPWS regarding track conditions for Conondale. There has been some fairly heavy rains would would mean that Sunday Ck track could be cut in places. Also Booloumba Ck could be swollen.
I would like to be with you as I like that area for driving. Unfortunately Medicals are keeping me grounded for a while.

Hi John,
Yes they have had alot of rian almost 80 mm just on Monday.
I am watch the park alarts for any changes and on friday i will call just to confirm conditions of the area.
