Sunday 5th of October.
Note: Sunday is Daylight Savings Commencement. Put your alarm forward by 1hr on Saturday evening or you mght end up being late.
Cobaw Ranges are always good for a great day of 4wd. Most of the tracks are of medium difficulty but with some challenging sections. There are also some harder TK's I actually prefer to drive in Cobaw.
I like to get onto Muirs TK, Mansfield TK and Stumpy TK from the bottom up which will be good fun. There is some fun obstacle climbing on Camp Road TK. But if anyone knows good tracks too, not to be missed, then we can try those ones out as well or instead of my favourites. I am easy with this.
Meeting is in Kyneton BP @ 8:30am. You can grab some fuel if you have to and then we head over to Cobaw around 9am. If you run late that day give me buzz on 0439 884482 to wait for you. (Depends on how late you are. I will give only 15 Minutes of Sunday late bonus)
Take some lunch with you. We will light up a campfire around 12pm and you can throw a shrimp on the barbie or a steak if you are more of a red meat lover.
After lunch we will do some more tracks and head out at 5pm - 5:30pm to the local petrol station to re inflate the tires, clear the windscreen and get some ice cream.......
If you have a Cobaw State Forest Activity Map, bring it with you. Cobaw is not big enough to get lost but a map can come handy to find the next TK.
Hope we get a few people to come along to this trip!
Cheers
Joe
