Toolangi - Easy Drive EASY

Toolangi, VIC

See more trips
I am taking my wife (and the dog) out for an easy drive (she is nervous about 4wd'ing).
So this would be a great intro day for anyone wanting to come out for the first time.
Stock vehicles (Just need AT's) are welcome. Just need a 2-way radio
I don't expect there will be a need for any recovery gear (I will being my stuff along just in case)
I plan to do about 4 hours as we are going to a nearby winery for lunch!

Hi there. I just joined here about a week ago. Mines a stock 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk. No modifications on it. I note the other people on the list have modified rigs with lifts and bigger tyres. Can i ask what the proposed route is and your thoughts on my jeep ability to tackle the route.

Don't sweat it, My wife is not good off road so we will be doing really easy stuff. So long as you have AT's and some sort of side steps (to protect your door sills you will be fine). the weather forecast is dry so there will be no mud.

Hi. Thanks for your reply. No side steps on the vehicle unfortunately. I'll have to look into that and maybe join in next time.

Side steps are the cheapest insurance when heading off road. Shouldn't need them but worth their weight in gold when you rub up against something. Much easier to replace then panel damage.

Might see you out on the tracks tomorrow Nigel - finally got the Ute ready to go. And depending on how your other half goes let's bring her on a 'hard' trip soon!
