Itinerary for November long weekend high country trip. Sunday 5th - Friday 10th November.
Sun 5th - leave Melbourne at 6am, head toward Omeo this will be a 4-5hr drive, camp at Ferny flat for 2 nights, we will do day trips around the lower end of lake Dartmouth.
Mon 6th - camp at Ferny flat for another night, explore tracks in area.
Tues 7th - leave camp early, head up C545 to Stacey bridge, camp here for 3 nights, explore tracks in area.
Wed 8th - explore tracks in area
Thurs 9th - explore tracks in area
Fri 10th - leave back to Melbourne
I have situated the camping areas off main roads so we can access them with camper trailers, there is also plenty more available if areas are full. Omeo and Benambra is close by for fuel and supermarket runs. Also camping close to lake Dartmouth if anyone wants a fish.
Just looking for 2 extra cars
Must haves for this trip are
- Good working winch
- UHF radio
- Recovery gear
- Mud terrain or aggressive all terrain tyres
- Reliable vehicle
- Locker/Lockers are a must.
- Snorkel, not sure how deep the river crossings will be
- Friendly people 😄
