This is one for the kids and our wives (although anyone is welcome) on Mothers day. There are some wonderful (free) spots 35 minutes past Lake Mountain toward Matlock that provide for our own private toboggan runs. We will be taking our 3-year old for some fun.  The intention is not to travel tracks all day. Assuming the forcast is correct (snow to 800m on Sunday) then we will likely pick one or two spots (hills) to park on for a few hours and watch the kids have a ball along with a snowy Mothers day picnic. If the snow is too light for tobogganing then 'Plan-B' will be to 4WD to Matlock Tower and around Corn Hill Track (this will require Hi/Low range 4WD's).  If yo dont have a Toboggan, they can be can be hired from Marysville, otherwise bring the plastic lid off a large storage container.   Like I said, this is more for the kids and a Mothers day picnic but is open to anyone if you just want to experience driving in the snow in easy conditions.
