My partner's son in law has just returned to Melbourne after 5 years in Sydney and wants me to take him up to Toolangi to give his new 4wd a bit of a shakedown, so thought I would post up a trip so some other members can join us if interested.
This trip is rated 'medium/hard' as it will include some of the following tracks; Rocky, Campsite, Lyndalls and possibly Not Much Help, Blowhard & Cockpit amongst others, depending on how the day pans out. As a result, do not join or express interest in this trip, unless your vehicle meets the following minimum requirements.
32" tyres either muddies or A/Ts (muddies preferred), full recovery gear including a winch, some sort of lift & traction aid,(locker, traction control etc.)
Please arrive at Yarra Glen on time as we will have a quick introduction/drivers briefing before making our way to the 1st track of the day. We will have a short lunch break during the day, so dont bring the bbq to 'cook a feast', so just sandwiches/drinks etc. No toilet facilites available where we are going; just the bush. Please ensure you have enough fuel to cover aprox 150klms from Yarra Glen & return. All fuel types are available in Yarra Glen.
As with all my trips, failure to 'check in' to confirm your attendance by the cut off time will result in removal from trip. Cut off time is 12.00 noon Friday Feb 21st.

UPDATE:. As forecast is for some heavy rain over the next day or so, it is very unlikely that we will tackle Not Much Help, Blowhard & Cockpit tracks.
I have no interest in spending half the day winching, or for anyone to potentially sustain some real damage to their vehicles, so if your reason for joining was to drive these 3 tracks, I fully understand if you decide to withdraw.
TRIP POSTPONED DUE TO EXTREMELY WET/MUDDY TRACKS. WILL RESHEDULE FOR SOMETIME IN MARCH.
