Heading out to Explore Rubicon State Forrest, I've been out here a few times and want to go and explore some new tracks. For the most part this is a EASY / MED Trip, But since im going exploring be prepared for some more Medium tracks and the possibility of turning around in the event of hazards or track conditions.
Weather looks favorable with little to no rain should get some good views from the top of some look outs and waterfalls (Bring your cameras).
Meeting at Healesville Beechworth Bakery at 8:00am please ensure you arrive prior to 8am if you intend to get coffee or food here (bakery is open from 6:30am)
Upon departing we will travel through Marysville into Rubicon State Forrest Just south of Buxton. a few lookouts and tracks, well stop and have a look at the Rubicon Power station then from here try and get across to Keppels Hut to explore more tracks in this part of the forrest. Im not sure how long this trip will take but expect it to be a full day of driving. Ensure you bring enough food and water / drinks (NO ALCOHOL) for the day and a FULL fuel tank. This is a FAMILY friendly trip feel free to bring the kids along!
All Experience levels welcomed from NEW to well travelled!. As mentioned above this trip is EASY / MED. but I've upgraded the rating to MED due to unknown track conditions and the fact im exploring. Pinstriping may occur and as always ALL DRIVERS attend this trip at their OWN risk knowing that vehicle damage may occur and is not the fault or responsibilty of the trip leader or 4wdtrip.com.au, However it is not our intention to damage vehicles especially as mine is a daily driver!!
