Dave (disco) Hi All,
Just an update here that I think you should be aware of.
Personally I think the trip should be listed as medium and not easy.
The track can vary greatly depending on if it has be graded, if it rains or if there is lots of water in the river.
I would recommend the following of all vehicles.
Must have recovery straps and equipment.
Must have recovery points on the front and rear of your vehicles.
Should have mud terrain tires with min 2" lift.
It is not fair to expect some one else to use their equipment to pull you out of a bog hole.
Those that do not have winches should travel in front of or behind someone that does have a winch,
There are some sections of the track that have very large drop off's on the side 100M+ the track is very narrow in some places.
I will warn you of these areas as we get near to them so please be aware.
Ash (trip leader) and I will have a small brief before we head off, or maybe even Friday night. We will organise the 4x4s in order so please try to keep that order as we go through the track. There is 49 river crossings in total. The amount of vehicles is quite a lot so that will slow us down.
Its all good fun and everyone will enjoy it very much, just need to keep safety in mind.
Regards
Dave
