Exploration Trip - Secret Spot HARD

This is an exploration trip to check out a new area near Marysville area. The exact location will not be disclosed here. You will have to be very experienced with a very well setup vehicle with twin lockers with 33"+ (or one locker if you are running on 35"). No IFS or P-plate on this trip, sorry. You have joined at least 5 trips with 4WDTRIP (You can see it from your profile). You must carry your own spare parts and tools, and be self-sufficient.

I might be twin locked by this trip! Would be awesome to give them a good test fresh off the tjm showroom haha!

Will join if I manage to get them installed. Will this just be a day trip or camping?

Hey mate, I will run a trip again in this area. This trip is for marking the POI first. BUT, I do want all 4wd to have at least front-locker.

Awesome, I am thinking this of a camping trip Sat night.
Booked lockers in for the Friday before this trip.. Probably not a good idea to leave straight from the TJM store right to the camp site without doing testing before lol

Maybe next time you run this trip.

Also trip is fully booked now haha

Hi all, this trip is only a week away. Please make sure your truck, winch (and yourself) is in top condition. For those of you who have ever joined any of my exploration trips, you know it can get very "interesting".....You will need to bring your A-game and prepare for everything. If you have chainsaw, bring it. Since the area is new and unknown to me, we may come across deadend track or many turning around, and pin stripe. Although this is a hard trip, I will ensure the safety for everyone. In some situation, I will call the shot to use your winch and you will follow the instruction. There will be no cowboy on this trip if you want to come home with your car undamaged and everyone safe. We will work as a team to help each other. I will further brief everyone on the day. Remember this is a camping trip, so I will expect we all camp on Sat night. Depends on how much ground we can cover on Sat, we will discuss the plan on Sunday. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Wow, looks like it will be extremely wet the tracks tomorrow. Let's see how it goes, I will ensure the safety of everyone. I may need some of you to help being the lead car as my tyres are fairly worn out at the moment, only 2-3mm tread left.

Hi Kelvin, I am happy to be in the lead, but honestly you will have more luck being the first one to climb a slippery hill than attempting it after it gets chewed up by a few of the other vehicle's.
In saying that, it is probably not a good idea posting a hard trip with tyres so low in tread with the very wet conditions expected.

Yea mate, I wasn't expecting weather like this when I posted the trip. Let's assess the condition and situation as we go tomorrow. I am not too concern about climbing, I am more concern about going downhill.

Being TRUTHFUL... I knew where Kelvin was going, so I did my research. After looking out the window at the horrible weather and youtube videos of the area I got a fair idea what was in stall. I knew AT tyres weren't a good idea because they wouldn't be safe and I'd likely be winching all day. And also the fact that I'm sick with a sore throat... I had mental images of me standing need deep in mud, running winch line with a sore throat (feeling sorry for myself) in the pouring rain and decided I wasn't up for it.

Luckily for me there are multiple trips to choose from on this website, so I used my personal freedom of choice and went on one I felt more appropriate.

Thus.... "This weather and my sore throat had made me weary" as previously stated. 👍

All good Jason, I know you are not those who just abandoned ship and join other trip. I wish you were there though as it would have tested your Jeep to limit. The weather turned out to be great, and a ripper camp spot.
