Is this run in conjunction with the NewRanger forum? As they have a trip on the same weekend? Just didn't see it mentioned anywhere.

Hi Chris, a new forum, where? No this is not in conjunction with another trip. I've organised a weekend away for Ranger/BT50 owners for the last 5 yrs & posted on Ranger forums on Facebook as advertising, but you need to register on 4wdtrip.com.au cheers lan.

Ah no worries. You will find the details of the trip here - http://newranger.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=11313

It is a Ford Ranger forum. They have a High Country trip on in basically the same area on the same weekend as well.

You'll have to check national park regulations, if we go into a national park l think dogs and guns are banned!

    Hi Dean,

Unfortunately I'm going to pass this year! But if one of you guys want to organise a trip that's up to you.

Since February this year I have done some major repairs on my car, they include 2 new cv shafts($680) 2 new front wheel hubs and bearing($380) 2 new front rotors and pads($550) HD single mass clutch conversion($2100) new front sway bar bushes($120) and now I'm having over heating problems which so far have cost me for a new radiator cap($35) new viscous fan hub($195) new thermostat($65) and all this still hasn't solved the problem entirely, it's running cooler but temperatures still climbs to quickly for my liking! Which could mean an engine re-build that I probably won't get much change out of $8000.

Then you have normal servicing and repairs like fan belts, radiator hoses, there's probably another $600 which when you add it all up it comes to around $4725 and most of those prices don't include the fitting of the items.

So at this stage with what it's cost me and the over heating problem I can't really go anywhere without thinking what's going to go wrong next?

Things are just to dicey for me to go off roading at the moment.

    Cheers Ian

    Thanx for the reply Ian.
Sorry to hear about you car probs, wow thats sure adding up.
Too busy at the moment myself to organise a trip, maybe further down the track (pardon the pun).
Good luck with the car, you've got it so well set up, would be hard to move on.

    Cheers Dean.
