Join 4WD TRIP - Toolangi Easter Sunday (discomatt)

Toolangi Easter Sunday MEDIUM / HARD

Another trip to my local play ground, trip is rated medium / hard so we will be doing the more challenging tracks and it will be dry so some with experiance and well sorted 4wds might consider it more on the medium side while others new to 4wding will call it hard. It will not be a car breaking day but I have seen plenty of breakages at Toolangi and all bog holes will / can be avoided if like me you hate mud.

Rocky Track will be the first track of the day and we will do all the classics, Airoplane, Blowhard, Cockpit and Lyndells so there will be challenges for most.

Bring some lunch and drinks as we will be out all day, hope to be heading home about 4.00ish.

If you are not sure about your experiance level but have the right car set up dont worry no one will be left behind and it will be a good trip to watch, ask and learn. Having said that, this trip is not suitable to complete novices.

Thanks Anthony, I had a look at the map and that could be a issue but knowing how the CFA work with planned burns I will wait and see. Having lived in the Dandenong Rangers for the last 20 years I have learnt that what they say is totally different to what they do...
I will monitor the planned burn and hopefully it wont happen over the Easter weekend

I know I am really late to expect an entry for this trip but after years of renting, I have bought a LC100 and interested in a 4wd trip with experienced members.

All the planned burns are still classed as in the next 10 days so there should be no issue there. If we get up there and as usual a government department has NFI and are in fact doing burns we will change location on the run.
Do not forget the clocks change tonight, we gain 1 hour sleep in, so if you arrive and think we are all late maybe think again as you may well be 1 hour early.
Meet time is 8.30, we will be leaving at 8.45 sharp so if you are late please call me, no call no waiting!!!
Ensure your winch is working, you have food and water and enough fuel for a full day.

Awesome day thanks all. Had a ball, except maybe that rear window but such is life, I knew the tree was there but was so in the zone of driving the track the height aspect just went out the window, or is that through the window. Will clean up the glass and pull out the trims and check it out tomorrow bur I am thinking its going to be a bitch of a repair...
Ah well if that's the price for a fantastic day wheeling in the bush, I am happy to pay!!
