Easy Marysville and surrounds trip - with overnight camping EASY / MEDIUM

Marysville, Rubicon, Snobbs creek., VIC

See more trips

Planning an easy trip around the Marysville area for this Saturday 24 March (with an overnight camping option), will be a mix of touring and 4WDing, plenty of photo opportunities as there will be a couple of look outs thrown in. The trip is easy with only a few tricky sections which any decent 4x4 with A/T tyres will handle. If you are looking to bash your car around, sorry this is not the trip for you however if you are new to 4WDing and want to take your car out, meet some new people and see some beautiful spots jump on.

Camping Option – Depending on the weather (as its forecast to rain this weekend and numbers) we could camp at a beautiful spot which I know well however there are no facilities there ie Toilets. This is open for discussion and again dependent on weather and numbers.  Decision on this will be finalised by Friday.

Also if you can not make it for any reason please jump out of the trip as soon as possible to give someone else the opportunity to join.

hi all, hope you are looking forward to the weekend as I am. Can you please confirm if you will be camping over night weather permitting. I want to get an idea of numbers. Also where I am planning to camp has no facilities and I would suggest bringing warm clothes as its about 1000m above sea level and it gets pretty cold over night.

Hi Eli.. yes we will most probably camp overnight as we are reasonably set up for wet weather mate.

WITHDRAWN from Trip - Reason: I am really disappointed, but I have to pull out of the trip. Called in to work last minute. Was really looking forward to getting out with Eli again as he is a great trip leader. Hope you all have a great day and night for those that are camping out.

Hi Everyone, please bring camping gear and supplies for overnight, we will take a punt and camp. If its to heavy we are only 2hrs out of Melbourne any way.

Im going to pick up a bag or two of wood for the fire. If someone has a chainsaw or axe please bring. Coles in Healesville opens at 6am so if you need supplies you can grab them there before the meeting time.

Bring warm clothes as it gets cold where we are going. Looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and new faces. Any questions feel free to ask.

Correct, this is bush camping. I actually found this place by accident last year with my girlfriend and I've now camped there a few times and no one else has been there. It's really nice. Hopefully the weather keeps away for us.
