Yep. Last time we did these tracks we spent several hours winching and towing a vehicle that broke it's tailshaft. There are also tracks that are quite challenging and may require winching to make it through sections. Purely from a safety perspective a winch is a must for this trip.

Too true! But after all this effort (and car still needs a couple things) I want to enjoy it a bit before I break it again up there! But will definitely revisit to complete that hill and finish quarry road under my own steam
