Date postponed to 18.11.2017

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Apparently hardest TK in Victoria. Challenging in the dry, impossible in the wet. Can be 2hrs or the whole day to get up.

If you are concerned about your 4wd and damages this is not the trip you want to join. If you have a good setup (3" lift , 35", one locker minimum and a winch) this is the trip for you.

We are meeting at Ellis Tk start just off Tarrango Rd @ 9:30am and depart 10am sharp. If there is a lot of rain prior this day I will reconsider to re schedule (unless someone has a tractor to keep us moving).

I have now a conflict with the scheduled weekend days. Something came up and I have to travel for work. I am considering to pull the date forward by a week (cup weekend) or push back by a week. Push back to Saturday 18th is probably better as some of you guys are maybe considering to do something else on the long weekend. Let me know what works best for you.
Sorry for that guys.

Gents, 33s with 2inch lift wont be sufficient?

Also as for bar work only got a bullbar, would panel damage be almost guaranteed?

It is quite technical and 33' will make it more challenging. I have never seen anyone going up on 33" saying that, pretty sure it has been done by someone.

Panel damage is not guaranteed but can happen. check out the video link to get a idea of the track. that was fairly dry condition. the Defender had his rock slider bend at the beginning (if I remember correctly). Also, I haven't done Ellis for two years now. not sure if the track got worse.......looking forward to it.

Concidering its been closed over the seasonal closure period , it shouldnt be too rude as long as its dry.

As james mentioned "tough eb" there are many awesome obsticles that are a worthy challenge if you and your rig are up for it, but there are many chicken tracks to avoid these sections.

Its a really tough track in the wet or dry if you're willing to give every possible hard section a crack.

The beauty of it though is many of these areas are also avoidable if you're feeling unsettled.

Just a thought though, we manage to get through ellis pretty quickly concidering i know the place like the back of my hand. If you do have time it will also be worthy heading to gently annie track just south of powelltown and making your way through robertsons fire trail too.

Have fun !

Drove it earlier this year apart from "the wall". It's not that bad in the dry. Alcorns is a lot worse.

I am open for doing more tracks around Wesburn. We should have some time left after Ellis and happy to give you the lead if you know the area.
Given how we will go that day, I might need to bail at some point in time to attend some other things. See how we go
