A BIG trip covering some of the best tracks around - roughly 280km +/- 20km from Italian Flat to Licola - almost entirely 4wd tracks.
I'll be at Italian Flat Campground Friday night; it's best if you are too.
We'll start bright and early on Saturday making our way to Wonnangatta Station via Crooked River and Tree Range tracks - 60km.
Sunday we'll head up Zeka Spur, King Billy, 16 Mile Jeep and Monument tracks to Craigs Hut then back down to Pikes Flat Camp for the night - 95km.
Monday we'll head over to Howqua or Jamieson for fuel via Steiners then make our way to Wrens Flat or beyond via Mitchells Track - 85km.
Tuesday we'll head to Licola via Mount Sunday, Middle Ridge and Glencairn road - 40km.
You must be experienced with a well setup tough 4x4 for this trip. This is a big trip so fuel is a major concern; be prepared. Fuel is approximately 200km into the trip, from Dargo. Dargo General Store, your last and most important fuel stop, is closed at 6pm Firday and opens again at 8am; we won't be going back to town in the morning and wasting an hour so make sure you fuel up before coming to camp. PLEASE check over your vehicle well in advance so you don't have to pull out a couple of days before the trip. I'll update this trip as the date gets closer and I'm open to route suggestions. I've attached the route for your reference.
