Hi Guys,

 



Planning a trip this Saturday,we are planning to meet at Erica Hotel at 8:15am for a 8:30am departure, the trip will be rated Medium to Hard.

 

 



We are planning to head through Walhalla and tackle Deep Creek 1 and 4, from there we will head North via Army Tk and Middle Star Tk for a bit of a play in the snow at Mt Useful, then across to Mt Selma via McGuire Tk and Mt Selma Tk. We will then head into Woods Point for dinner at the Woods Point hotel before heading home.

 

 



This will be a pretty full on day of driving, and will cover difficult tracks as well as snow and everything in between.

Yeh might be pushing it, deep creek tracks can be very challenging espically if wet. Be fine for the rest of the trip

Yeah mate the deep creek tracks have recently be graded so I'm not sure what to expect but they're very challenging tracks that can prove to be dangerous especially deep creek 1.

Hi paul just a suggestion, you may want to edit the ad to change it to hard level and set Winch option as compulsory. I think deep creek 1 and 4 definitely need winch or it will slow you guys down...just a thought....have a fun tomorrow

Hi Kelvin,
I was tossing up between classifying the trip medium or hard, as Anthony mentioned once we're past the deep creek tracks it should become a fairly easy trip. No worries Anthony, sounds good mate. Let's hope they arrive Peter should be a great day out.

Haha, yes I know what you mean Paul. I think with the rain, it's going to be really wet....so hard is probably a good level especially the hardest part is the beginning of the trip......all good mate....

Make sure your winches are in good conditions guys..... we had 2 winches died in our last trip at Deep Creek 1 few weeks ago..... it's going to be even harder tomorrow.....

Yeh not tracks you really want your winch to stop working lol. Should be good fun will take a few photos and post them up to give people an idea of the track conditions.

Hey guys, checked the pics look unreal. Is there normally snow up top? Or was it just due to the dump we had on Friday. Would be keen to go check it out if there is snow up there still in a week or 2 is all.

Peter, I went to Mt Selma and Mt Useful about 3 weeks before this trip and there was only a little bit of snow.
You should check the snow report before you decide to go to make sure there will be snow there.
