Night run/Over nighter Ellis Track & Surrounds HARD

Looking at having a quick counter with everyone first (please advise of a place around here if any if you have suggestions) prior to heading out as a good way to meet everyone.


After that we will be heading to Ellis track to tackle the beast by night.  After this we will find a nice spot to camp (open to suggestions if anyone's camped up there before).


Then get up in the morning and head south of powelltown to tackle Gentle Annie, Robertsons and bullock link tracks.


 


Please be advised this trip is for Experienced Drivers & Capable Drivers. 


Panel Damage is a high probability.


Must be self sufficient (food snacks water etc) and have own recovery gear and a working winch, decent lift.


 Mud Terrain tyres and a locker is highly recommended.

Yes it should be pretty awesome.
I have done it 4 times this year already (3 times in 1 week) and absolutely love it.

I have purposely scheduled it in for the night as i enjoy night runs and should make for a nice trip.

I'm not that experienced to do something like that yet but one day I will , we always go up from the Tarango rd end and we turn around at the top of the ist steep bit where the rocks start , its maybe the first chicken track , I am very nervous now days after I went on a trip to Licola once and sort of ended up doing a much rougher than expected trip when it was only the second time I had ever been 4wding and did alot of damage to my car , but one day I will be keen i'm slowly getting into harder stuff .
Ah yeah fair enough, your car has front and rear lockers and 35s so just to let you know it may be more capable than some of the cars already going on this trip but the most important part is ensuring you're confident in yourself and your vehicle. That will all come in time mate.

UPDATE: I HAVE BOOKED A TABLE FOR 10 AT THE CUNNINGHAM HOTEL @ 6.30 (ADDRESS ABOVE OR BELOW)
THIS WAY WE CAN HAVE OUR QUICK COUNTER MEAL AND HEAD ON OFF TO ELLIS TRACK FROM THERE.

had car up on hoist today and found one of the lockers is leaking air.

I don't wanna be the guy with the unprepared car relying on everybody else for assistance by taking a car with a mechanical issue.

Been looking at the video. Looks like neither of my lockers got enough air. So I ran the whole trip on open diffs. Lucky to only winch once. Getting all my issues fixed before I come out gain. Que Sera...

yeah I noticed at 1 particular section that myself and tony mentioned one wheel would stop rotating…. then start again, your compressor also runs constantly which gave me an indication that there was a severe leak.

Get it checked out and we will go again pal.

Ps check the trip report in the forum part ;)
