Valencia ck , mt Wellington , Old Moroka rd MEDIUM

The plan is to camp Friday night at blue pool campground ,then drive up Valencia creek track to moroka rd then on to mt Wellington to camp the night at millers hut

depending on time , drive out to the sentinels for a view of lake tarli karng Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning.then drive out along old moroka rd to Valencia creek then home Sunday afternoon evening

Bit of history and maybe a few huts to see

i have rated this trip medium because I have heard of some needing to winch on the climb out of Valencia ck tk but in general it should be easy

3 people are wanting to go on this trip already from my post in trip ideas so at the moment there are only 2 spots left

Andrew , you just got in as the last member , as I said there is already one member previously coming on this trip that hasn't got his name down yet and unfortunately for now the last person in is going to miss out. That's boris, sorry.

It's difficult to manage when there is a few spots already promised.
I did ask kelvin fo some help there but havnt had an answer yet
So I am just waiting for tom to post he is coming

Looking back maybe that's what I should of done. It wasn't planned as a private trip it's just that a few had expressed interest previously
Anyway I think we can work it out ,might just make it the 7 cars as it is now
It's a while away , sure I can work it all out

theres been a bit of talk about moroka rd being graded. ive been in touch with the delwp or whatever they are called now and this isnt the old moroka rd we are going on.
not that i think old moroka rd is difficult but at least its not a graded main rd

Hi all
Hate to tell you all that I am going to have to cancel on running the trip.
Ime in the middle of selling a house and there's been lot of complications I've got to deal with.
This is really an easy trip to run , Ime hoping some one will put there hand up and take over. I can give you any help or advice you need. It would be a shame if it has to be cancelled and Ime dissapointed I can't come

Pitty few have dropped out. Even if its just me and the jeep it will still be on. Been keen to do valencia creek track and mt wellington for ages. So nothings going to stop us!

Thanks tom for the pics. Ill do a short write up in the trip report section in the coming days. Wont go into detail here. But was really good trip, good range of tracks. And visited three of the best lookout areas in the high county.
