Newbie / Family day out . Easy trip from Bayswater to Eildon for a Pub Lunch and return. 

Via Rubicon / Big River area.  

Suitable for any 4WD or Modern SUV, Nothing hard at all, more of a Navigation and Scenery Trip into a beautiful area.

All I ask is that you have good condition AT tyres and check to make sure your spare is inflated properly.

No lift kits or big muddies required, though you will end up getting muddy, looking at this weeks weather map.

Early start 7.00 meetup and we should all be home around 5.00  or earlier.

So its a full fun day out :) Bring extra snacks and food and drinks as required to suit your needs .

If you head out that way, check out lake mountain resort, free entry on Sunday... The start is a bit early for me and probably after a little more than gravel roads, otherwise I would have joined!

Hi Eli,
I will decide which way we go on the day , taking into consideration everyones car as to which route we take. I see you got a set of BFG AT KO's , I use them and love them.
There will be no bog holes , steep mud or rocky sections on this trip .
Its all about learning to find your way around the area .
Having fun and meeting new people.
It looks like you have no recovery gear , so I would not get too excited about challenges as I will show you some that we will not do .
My group will stick together as a team , no off shooting onto side tracks allowed.
Its for a good reason.
Will be a great day out.

What stupid questions did I ask out of interest? I made a suggestion in case you were interested... It's just a nice thing to do to fellow 4wd-ers. Some people have power-trip issues though and don't cope well with that.

Hello all,
Not one to get into a slanging match normally. But at the end of the day all I am really interested in is meeting people that have similar interests and want to enjoy our country.
If we make new friends out of trips we are happy.
This is our first trip through this site and am looking forward to it.
Everybody has different ideas of fun and if it is not too your liking don't come then. But don't knock the ones putting their hands up to organise.

Just my two bobs worth.

Ive no power trip issues at all , Im trying to encourage people to come out and explore , in a safe controlled manner . Everyone has to learn to walk before they can run.

No dramas Rick! Going to Lake Mountain (if there's any snow) is hardly hardcore, it would merely have been a nice stop while out and about! I'm not hardcore mate, a 'tough tourer' is all I have!
