Licola Woods point MEDIUM / HARD

Licola, VIC

See more trips
We are running a combined camp out and snow drive with the Werribee 4wd club.
We will be meeting at:

Melton McDonalds 8am
Cnr of Barries and Coburns Rds, Melton.

For those of you who are on the  other side of town we can organize a meeting point for you to save you back tracking over the city.

From there we will head towards Licola and straight into the mountains on

an amazing track and set up camp next to a hidden gem,
Morning Glory hut, sought out be many, found only by a few.
Here we will set up camp for the night, where music, spit roast, roaring fire, drinks, fun and laughter will be had late into the night.
Sunday we will be heading up higher into a snow drive/play if mother nature allows, then head towards Woods point and make our way home.
You must be self sufficient with food and camp gear below zero conditions.
I would also recommend snow chains and recovery gear is a must.
As this is a combined trip, spaces are extremely limited and will go quick.

Looking forward to a fun filled adventure.

Johnny can you make it clear for all on this trip, you now have 3 different meet up times, you really need everyone on the same page in order to get everyone away on time, if you can all get away by 7am that would be great.

Righty-O , I will have an esky full of ice for all your mixed drinks, I don't care how cold it is I have to have ice in my whiskey.
Also I will have a big "fire in a box" meaning we can get the fire going quickly and easily no matter what the conditions, I will need a hand collecting the bigger fire wood..
Lets all pray for no rain, no breakages and no damage.

I will have the 66 with me, ol faithful big Stihl, I might be able to bring some wood, will see what I can do. Weather looks like it will be fine but I did note the Machalister was in minor flood warning. We should expect high creeks and rivers and or blocked tracks. Our area was a mess after the floods so it could be like that up there as well.

Trip Leader John (Bulldog) Premium Member
Yeah l saw that the Macalister river is at 2 meters at the licola bridge. So fingers crossed.
