Woods point and tracks MEDIUM

Hi guys, because of the weather and all the rain we have had Going to give Wombat a miss as haven't been there before and am not interested in spending 2 days winching.

Going to head to Woods point way and do the following tracks - Old coach rd, German spur track moonlight Spur Mt terrible and Newmans track. Did this about 6 weeks ago and shouldn't be too bad in the wet.

Hi Pauly,
I just heard from Big Kev, he was out at Wombat this weekend and has classified it as muddies and winching due to the wet. I don't know this area at all but if there's no options around stuff like this then it's not my cup of tea. I like a heater and a comfy seat compared to getting wet and muddy, I can do that in the backyard.....

If the weather stays fine this week let's hope it dries up a bit. Anyway, Kev's out.

Hi Alex, Joey has been up there so we are going to go through the tracks from what Ive read there are chicken tracks to go round.
Don't worry I'm with you I like my comfy seat and heater as well and don't like getting any dirtier than what is needed. will see how we go.

Hey Pauly, Depending on the weather there's still some tracks that may be navigable. Did we (the group) want to spend a day getting to Woods Point or meet up there Saturday AM and start from there ?
Either way, at the bottom of German Spur, instead of crossing the main drag and going up Knockwood, the option is to stay on the main drag a bit, turn right onto Army track and then go up either Lazarini Spur or Holylands track, these both head towards the Jamison Road and 'might' have deepish river crossings as their base, but both enjoyable tracks. Anyway, let me know what the plan is re start at WP or spend a day getting there - if we want to spend Saturday getting there we can take a slightly alternate route to the one I usually take, similar, but a few different tracks.

Hi Alex no certain plans as yet, went through it with Harro last night and thinking of possibly starting from Big river near Jamieson head down to woods point then possibly to Wahlhalla as have 3 days to fill. Once again not sure still deciedeing.

Put up some of my best pics, had a great time.
I'm considering a grand final weekend (plus the Thursday before, ie, 4 day) trip back to the same area but basecamp and explore in loops. Loved the company :-)
I have shed loads of photos what's the best way to share ?
