Talarook/mt dissapointment MEDIUM / HARD

Never been to either so going for an explore to do the harder tracks in the area. Will start off in talarook and see how it goes if we get bored head into my dissapointment. Would be great if someone who knows the area joins in otherwise I will be going off recommendations and maps. All cars need to have Lift, tyres with decent tread, winch, front and rear rated points and a full recovery kit (snatch, dampner, extension strap and shackles to fit points). I put down Saturday but can do Sunday instead depending on interest

Hi Antony. I know this area fairly well and where the tougher tracks are.
The hardest ones being - Phone Track, Steep Track, Top of Teehans 2 Track, and Red Hill Track. Fall Creek Track is also good (not too hard but very undulating).
I have got a good warm up loop I have put together that I think would take 2 hours (this is Medium-Hard). Happy to point you in the right direction on the day. I will have River with me also. Cheers mate.

There's a good mix of 4bys on this trip. Should test the 4bys and be a good comparison given the difficulty of the tracks.

Sorry Dave. Not quite the way to go. If you turn up on a trip unannounced, you will likely be removed from the site. I would suggest you keep an eye out for notifications of someone pulling out. Unfortunately when this happens, the system does not give the spot to the next one on the list. The system simply waits for "first in, best dressed".
Best case scenario is to have your emails on your smartphone and keep it close so you can respond quickly when someone pulls out.
Alternatively, you could plead with the trip organizer for an extra spot.

Hey guys, thanks for a good day! Starting early didn't turn out to be such a bad idea; I still had time to take my family down to the beach. It'd be great to see the photos when you get a chance. See you all soon.

It turns out I bent my tie rod on a rock on this trip. It set off a warning heading down the freeway and turned my cruise control off. $940 bucks later... luckily I had a little credit with my mechanic. I've upgraded to a solid rod instead of the hollow factory one. And the tie rod ends are bigger and greasable now.
