Beginners 4x4 Trip @ Mt. Disappointment, VIC EASY / MEDIUM

Mt. Dissappointment, VIC

See more trips

I will split the group into 2 (Group A & B) and use proper convoy call-sign for communication. For instance, if you are in Group A and you're Car number 5, your call sign will be (Alpha Five). We will keep the convoy in order according to the car number. For instance, if your are A5 (Alpha Five) and you would like to communicate with the car behind you, you will call out "Alpha Six, you can start descent".

This way, you will always know who's in front of you and who's behind you. For me (trip leader), I will know exactly who's talking and which car you are.

Please see below your group and remember your car number.

***********************************************************

Hi everyone,

Mt Disappointment is about an hour from Melbourne CBD.

I'd love to introduce 4wding to all the people who are new to 4wding. If you have just recently bought a new 4wd, this is a trip for you. I will try to share my experience and knowledge, and hopefully you can understand more about your vehicle and knowing how to go 4wding safely.

Depends on the group size, I may talk about some receovery gear and technique in the morning. We can then hit the tracks.

Families are more than welcome to join. I will bring along my kids (5 and 7), so they can stay away from iPad and TV!

Bring along your food/drink for lunch.

Although we are heading to Mt. Dissappointment, I am sure you will not disappointed.

Planning to have an early start at 8.30am so we can get the most out of the day.

We are glad to have Jason from TJM Sunbury joining our trip. Jason has been very supportive to 4WDTRIP. You will get to know many TJM products and see them in action too. That's more, he will be sponsoring our trip and giving away a prize to the best driver of the day!

Looking forward to seeing you :)

NOTE: This is a beginner trip. If you ave already got a few years of 4wding experience, please give room to others. Bear in mind that please do not bring along extra car/friends with you if they are not on our GOING list. I have to make sure we have a certain size of the group/convoy for safety reasons.

This trip is FREE. There is no cost involved.

Hi Kelvin. Don't those two places automatically go to the two next on the list to indicate their interest?
Unfortunately no. The reason is that some people would show interest and then ended up changing their mind and not withdrawing their interest. We cannot simply automatically added them to the "GOING". I'd love to take everyone to the trip but....

Welcome to the site John. Keep an eye open for new trips, they do fill fast. With my emails notification, its a bit slow coming through so I check the site several times a day. It took me a few times before I got on a trip, but just keep watching and trying. With the popularity of this trip there is sure to be more in the future.
