A full day trip through Lerderderg State Park. It will be a challenging trip for beginners and only suitable with all-terrain tyres and a 4wd system that has selectable low range.
You will encounter tracks that are a bit daunting as a beginner and should expect to lose traction and may have to listen to leaders over uhf as to the correct line to take. But don't be intimidated, I have a basic setup and don't want to break anything on my vehicle, the tracks we will take will be fun but within our limits. Fuel and food should be the only cost of the day.
I've put winch as recommended purely because if you have one it could be useful. Don't feel that you need it. The tracks we will be taking will be covered by stock vehicles with good tyres.
Recovery gear is a must, as is correct recovery points. Any queries on this message me. If you turn up with a tow ball or tie downs as a recovery point you will be turned away. I recommend everyone deflate their tyres and reinflate at the end of the trip. Mine are set to 18psi.
Bring food and water for the trip. Fill up fuel at Bacchus Marsh.
Great opportunity to advance your driving skills and get some good photos and videos of your efforts.
