Tony, a room at the pub is about $95, but I would stay at the caravan park across the road. Cabin is $80 per night.

    Tony,
I think it only cost $35/night if you camp at Erica cavaran park instead. It's not far from Walhalla but right next to Erica pub.

If anyone else is coming on the Friday night, please let me know. Looking forward to a good weekend and those 'Deep Creek' tracks I have heard so much about.

    Hi everyone,
If possible, please bring along some firewood if you have got any spare. O'tooles is a popular camping area, so it may be hard to find any good firewood over the weekend. We will try to pickup some on the way to the camp ground.

Yeh sure, I'll get a bag of red gum from Bunnings, so if anyone else wants to get a bag it's around 12 bucks.

We did some research re the electric blanket and found that a inverter and 240 volt works much better and uses less power due to the amp and watt usage, it lives in the camper and is one of the best things that is a real luxury when camping. Nothing better than a nice warm bed and good nights sleep.
    08 Jul 2015
    Tony (le Dakar)
Hi Matt. I do remember reading something similar about using an inverter and a normal 240v blanket. If I remember correctly it used a fraction less in amps than the 12v version. The other benefits is the ability to turn down or turn off when you like. Mine gets a little too hot for comfort if Ieave it on all night, so I simy use it to heat the bed which it does great. I find going to a warm bed means I tend to keep warm for the rest of the night. Either way (240v or 12v) there great for camping during winter. I have had mine for two winters now. Cheers Matt
