hey guys and girls thinking of doing the mining memories trip, it starts at marysville and finishes at walhalla, we will leave on sat morning and get back on sun arvo/night 
its 167km trip with easy to med 4x4'n. hopefully i can get a photographer to come on board with us also. should be a pretty cruisy drive with some harder bits. IF YOU HAVENT GOT A UHF PLEASE LET ME NO SO I CAN TRY N HUNT DOWN SOME HAND HELDS FOR YOU
We will also be on channel 19.
if you will be running late let me no so we can wait, i will post my mobile number up closer to date
WE WILL BE MEETING AT WARBURTON NEXT TO THE HARDWARE SHOP
IF PEOPLE ARE INTERESTED AND HAVENT GOT WORK MONDAY MAY END UP DOING A DAY RUN AT WALHALLA
snow chains are not a essential but if you have them bring them just incase we come accross some

My Ranger is std height with 235/75 R15 A/T tyres
I have a TJM winch and will get a recovery kit before next trip (just looking into that now).

Also where do you plan on camping Sat night?

hey mark, iv never done it my self i found the trip in a book i found it says its easy 4x4, so your vehicle should be fine buddy, ill upload pics from out of the book so u n others can have a look at the details of it

I have joined the trip and will also bring the better half but I am away with work at the moment and Liza is at work tonight and tomorrow so I will confirm for a definite start tomorrow but should be a goer and it looks like a great trip and a nice change from going out and looking for the hard stuff to tackle. Just a nice relaxed touring trip to see some great places!

Yeah i dont have any. And doubt ill need them anyway with the mt's and constant 4wd. But i know some roads in the area you are required to carry them regardless. Can even be fined. I was turned away at baw baw once for not carrying them. Even though i had an 80 series on 33 mtrs. You done some upgrades dave since your first trip?

Chris I can provide a couple of hand helds for your trip,they will need to be picked up from either Berwick or Ringwood,these come courtesy of VMS and we make them available to all our trip leaders.
