Dirt Mappers! I am organising our first trip to meet and greet with a few of you. Note this is a private trip and invitation only.

The location has been changed to Ballarat and it will be closer to Melbourne due to number of participants availability.

We will be camping at Slaty Creek Picnic Ground no3 below on Fri night.

We will first check out north of Ballarat at Creswick and then head south and continue explore the area on Sunday. We will find the camp site as we go for Sat evening.

Acting Premier James Merlino has warned Victoria's COVID crisis "may well get worse before it gets better" as health authorities revealed almost a dozen new cases of the virus.

I reckon we'll be locked down for 3 weeks minimum hope I'm soooo wrong :-(

Yes Alex, unfortunately we may have to postpone this trip. I will still keep this trip as is, and if we are lucky, this may still go ahead.

It has just been confirmed that lockdown will be extended by at least a week. On top of that, even if all goes well, Melbournians won't be allowed to travel to regional Victoria over the Queen's Birthday long weekend. I guess we'll have to postpone this trip...

From 11.59pm tomorrow night there will still be only five reasons to leave home - shopping for food and supplies, authorised work and study, care and care giving, exercise and getting vaccinated.

People will be able to travel a little further for exercise and shopping, with an expanded 10km radius.

Bugger!.... well my truck is packed and ready to roll in 30 seconds!... as soon as we have lockdown lifted, I will resume this trip..... for now, the date has been changed to TBA......
