would have been interested in other trip but full in 2hrs . Glad you are organising another Anthony. This trip is rated medium/ hard & recommends winch which I don't have so not sure of suitability to me. The other trip is Medium is there a difference in theses trips. I have diesel cruiser can I have more info please.

i rated this one difficult as I havnt done these tracks since the gates were opened and am unsure of there condition and have heard that in some spots can be quite hairy. This is why it is such a small group of more capable vehicles so just In case things do get a little pear shaped. At least this way I know which tracks to steer clear of for Australia Day and can try plan an alternate route if I have to so we have no damage or long recovery sessions to worry about. I do hate to say this but mabee give this trip a pass as I would prefer if the vehicles had some ground clearance and a rear diff lock. In saying this though I am planning to do at least one trip a month so just keep looking. Next one will be mid February around the Wonnangatta and I will make sure it will be an easy to medium with a larger group so people who are a little unsure or have a fairly stock vehicle can come and enjoy what our backyard has to offer.

Hi guys, not sure if I will be able to make the trip, but just a heads up on the Pinnacles / Billy Goats track. It is very badly eroded in some places compared to what it was a year or so back. I was up there a month ago and managed it in a stock Ranger with no lift kit, so clearance isn't an issue if you pick your lines, but if you haven't got a diff lock, you will chew a bit of rubber off your tyres. If it is raining it could be a bit dicey, lots of exposed rock sections. You can also expect a few extra bush pinstripes at the end of the day. Anyway hope you enjoy and I may get to meet a few of you one day at Daves place. If anyone wants to ring me send a PM with your email and I'll let you know my mobile. Cheers.

Hey guys just updated the trip. Will be four cars now and will be meeting in harrietvile. Sorry for the stuff around but it means we get more time on the tracks on Saturday. Tracks that I want to do are bassolt knob, crooked river and billie goats. I will be camping Friday night at harrietvile but am unsure where but will let you guys know as soon as I do.

I have jumped onto this weekend away as I will have to pull out of the Australia day weekend as a job has come up that needs to be done over a long weekend and I would rather do it then than muck up my Christmas break.
Looking forward to another high country trip.
