We ended up with 9 cars on total . Luckily the weather gods were kind , despite all the recent rain and wind , we managed to run the whole route as originaly planned . We did do a pre trip run a few weeks before , just to check on the current conditions , and make sure it was suitable for everyone to run no hassles.
Was a great mix of people , some having their 1st or 2nd time out , others with experience but never been up here before.
We started at Big River rd , to Frenchmans Spur Tk and had good fun and learning experiences on doing the side tracks .
Then onto Tinger Spur tk for the run down to Woods Point for lunch.
Nice easy run when dry , but steep in places and everyone took it in their stride , nice and slow , let the car do the work . and enjoyed it .
After lunch at Woods Point we headed back up to Mt Matlock , and travelled Corn Hill side tracks and Cambarville Logging rd back to our starting point.
Everyone had a good day and drove well , no damage , the odd ding and bang underneath , but nothing more than that.
Was fun , great scenery , easy going day out.
