Not now though all the current collection places are listed as normal, the northern areas have been closed for a while now because people always go there for river red gum and it was running out faster than it grows plus knucle heads always drop dead trees and take hollow logs which destroys native animal populations.
Still plenty of good timber to collect in other areas, just google search fire wood collection ...
