Looking forward to seeing the footage Allan. I am getting one of the leafs removed from the rear spring packs to soften if up.  I will be keen to give that short hill (Cable Track) another try. I could not believe it took a few attempts compared to previous visits (pre-new suspension).

Looking forward to the video Allan.

Tony, not surprised the hilux struggled, the rear springs are way to hard, when I was behind you there wasn't virtually no rear suspension travel and the rear wheels where bouncing over the smallest rocks and roots. Hard to believe a so called 4 wheel drive specialist would recommend and supply such a inappropriate suspension package, even when touring it would shake the hell out of everything in the back when on corrugated roads.

Thanks for uploading the video Allan! ...It was great! .... Love the TOP GUN song on the last steep track....certainly got you pumped!

By the way, are you using some sort of gimble for your in-dash video camera?

thanks Kelvin, no just a suction mount similar to the gopro one. Unfortunately it does wooble a bit from time to time, but generally works ok.

BTW, waiting for you to put up some of your pics you took on the day.....wink

Thanks for the video.  I also thought you were running a gimbal for the video camera.  If it is just the suction cup, then it is giving an effect similar to the gimbal on my drone.

Also, I had a look at some of your other videos on youtube.  Good stuff.  I like the Deep Ck one-  there are some awsome hills in there.  I don't know where Deep Ck is, but if another trip is posted to the same area, i'm in for sure.

Glad to hear were giving Bill's track a miss.  Cheers- Tony.

Tony, I must agree with Matt about Walhalla and Deep Creek. It's a 4wding paradise.

Do you remember I mention to you that I will run a Trip Leader Trip? I am thinking to host it at the same area.
