Recently put a remote on the avenger winch to save using the hand control....

Had to use the winch last weekend and the remotes, when in use they pulse....Its quite strange as I thought it should work the same way as the hand controller that came with the winch..

Any ideas why it pulses would be greatly appreciated....

No idea on why it would pulse, flat battery maybe but I would think it would not work at all in that case...

I do know a few people that refuse to use there remote because they are not as responsive as a hard wired controller and in some instances that extra second or two of winching or not winching could cause real problems. I have never had a issue with my remote and use it all the time for testing the winch and rewinding the cable but never out in the bush for recoveries

Battery fully charged and car was running.

it is a weird one that is for sure.  Thought it might be due to it being an after market one and doesn't suit the winch.

try with thicker wires . so you dont lose voltage drop

mine works ok but under heavy load you have to pause few times
