Iconic tracks are the tracks that are considered unique, technical and challenging, and they are in most of the 4wders' bucket list. 

I reckon the following 4wd tracks are considered iconic day-trip 4wd tracks in Victoria. Note, below are tracks that you can normally do it in a day trip (1-2 hrs away from Melbourne)

1. Ellis Track at Wesburn 
2. Alcon Track at Cobaw 
3. Rocky Track at Toolangi
4. Phone Track at Tallarook
5. Bullock Link Track at Bunyip
6. Anderson Mil Track at Wombat SF
7. Ladder Track at Mt. Dissapointment
8. Strickland Spur Track at Marysville
9. Deep Creek 1 at Walhalla
10. Old Bluff Track at Pyrenees Range

A hard track is not necessary iconic. Some hard tracks are due to over-driven, poorly maintained, and they are badly rutted....

I loved doing Trig Track with all it's 12 switchbacks at Walhalla

Burgoyne Track going into McAlister Gorge and back out the other side heading towards  Licola was fantasic!

Always love Deep creek 1 in Walhalla
