tried to start the cruizy...flat battery...or not.....tried jumper leads....no go...

.almost kicked a coupla times but then died...

question...we have the spare battery wired up for the fridge.....how come that did not take over?

nb..jumper leads good 'cos we had to jump start the camry too

The Second battery is isolated by an electric  switch called a solenoid . It appears your main starter bat has gone flat .Depending  on what brand you have it needs to be energised  to open it so power flows from aux bat to main battery . A well set up dual bat system has a push button wired to dash so if this happens a simple press joins both bat to start
