I found this gear calculator a few years ago, great for working out different combinations, whether it be diff ratios or transfer or both together.

What gearing was in the transfer case you bought? Cheers

63% reductions went in mine. They're great. I think I'd be just as happy with 43% too as I pretty much never use 1st gear with the 63%. 

Top speed (5th gear) of 25km in low range with the 63% so you do find you have to change out quite a bit. 

My car is also the RD28 so I've got the 4.66 diffs with 35" tyres

Cheers mate, yeh I was thinking of heading towards getting the 43 %, but yesterday I did go to a 4wd shop who specializes in a lot of serious modified trucks and he said the way to go it 23% reduction. I am running and Ls2 V8 in a GQ with 3.9 diff gears with 37 s tough decision. lol
