Di it many (many) years ago from Finke up to Maryvale but we cut across to the Stuart Highway on some back track.
Had the guy at Marla telling us we wouldn't get across the Finke River, the army was coming in next week to build a bridge so people could get to Finke for the race blah blah. We did the drive out there - via the Lambert Centre and just nailed the old 60 towing a capmper trailer through the river and made it. The drive up to Maryvale was great.
