Hi guys,

im looking for recommendations on a good day trip within 1.5hrs from Melbourne CBD to take out a mate who in his new Pajero. I have 10 years of experience, he has a few drives under his belt but we have tackled medium grade tracks. 

Wombat at is my home turf but I'm interested in exploring somewhere new. 

Have done Cobaws and Toolangi only twice each on club trips (experienced spotter etc) so am wondering if either of these places are recommended. My spotter is not an expert yet and know Toolangi can really require a good spotter on some of the rocky tracks. We don't want to damage our rigs.

Ideally keen for new location - somewhere with a river would be ace, even if it's simply to have lunch at. 

Not into deep muddy bog holes - been there done that - car is too valuable to me. Will cross through if only way around but not preferred. 

Any thoughts and and track names/ routes recommended would be great thanks. 

I use Hema Explorer on IPad FYI. 

My 100 series is lifted, warn winch and I'll be running my all terrains this weekend as no time to swap to KM2s for a day trip...plus to even up with my mates Paj.
