Planning another trip up Wombat / Lerderderg, Starting up Bacchus March end and finishing up near Daylesford. Will mostly be some easy tracks, especially if tracks are dry and not wet. If wet they should be a bit of fun and some tracks might be medium. I will be trying out my new Patrol, so won't be tackling anything crazy.
I will be following some tracks from previous trips and towards the end hopefully we will find La Franchi Hut, which I never been before but tracks should not be too hard around that area. We will only do this if time permits - don't want to finish trip late and into the dark. Aiming to finish around 4.30PM
We will be doing a shallow creek crossing that I did last time, but water level should not be past hub height, and it might be dry still. Please note that pin stripes and vehicle damage may occur please be prepared as Wombat is unpredictable.
If tracks are wet, there will be mud for sure. If mud is not really your thing, this might not be your kind of trip. I won't be tackling waist deep bog holes - but mud will be thrown around for sure.
Be prepared and read description properly so you won't be disappointed. This trip will be mostly easy if dry - should be fairly ok with good tyres and dry tracks. All goes to plan we will cross the whole wombat / lerderderg east to west through tracks, then we will hit a few kms of bitument to make it up to Daylesford where we will hit a few last tracks to find La Fanchi Hut.
