Day 1
Meet up at the Caltex OUTBOUND on the M1 at Longwarry and drive to Angusvale campsite in the Mitchell River national park.
Take Holloran track and Angusvale track in to Angusvale campsite. Cruisy drive day as we have plenty to look forward too.
Day 2
Drive into Dargo for Lunch at the pub and camp at Talbotville
Tracks - Collingwood Spur, Billy Goats Bluff, Crooked River Track, Good Hope Spur track, Cynthia range track, Neates Track
Day 3
Talbotville to Lovicks hut via Wonnangatta station
Tracks - Wonnangatta track, Zeka Spur track, King Billy track, Bluff track.
Camp at Lovicks hut and head home the next morning.
I might be asking a bit with this trip being so close to Christmas and being a 3 dayer, but i want to do it before this year is out. Im capping it to 4 cars maximum, to ensure the convoy keeps moving. Please have a fully stocked recovery kit and be self reliant with fuel and food. I will have a chain saw on board and we will need to collect firewood along the way.
I will be filling my car up in Sale as well as taking some reserve fuel in a jerry can, id recommend we all do the same.
This trip is also subject to fire conditions. If there is even the slightest hint of bushfire danger, i will withdraw the trip. I will not be taking any risks with that. Its been a dry-ish winter up this way, so this is a real possibility.
