Touring day trip to Mt Terrible . Early start as is a full day out. Suitable for any 4WD with good condition Light Truck construction A/T tyres minimum .
Designed for both Experienced and Newbie / Intermediate Experience drivers. Great trip for couples to enjoy together.
A Relaxing Fun day out for all . Plenty of chances to put it into low range and Explore a beautiful area .
Recovery gear recommended but not essential as I should have enough equipped 4x4's on the day to help out anyone if needed .
Bring you own food and drinks to get you through the day. We will stop for a coffee early on , but after that , its all day in the bush.
There are a few small sections that are steep and rocky and the rest could be muddy depending on the weather.
Trip Route Update :
After we did a reccon trip last sunday , I've altered my original route plans.
From Cumberland Junction , we will head in via Big River rd , and follow through to the end it Is mostly 2wd , but 4wd past Hope Track to Enochs Point , Plenty of fallen trees and rocks. It has small sharp rocks, rough and washed out and slow going in this section.
After that we will travel on the tar for a few klm's and hit Mt Terrible track from the Top North end heading south back towards home direction.
Stop for a lunch break with magnificent views all round . Work our way to Mt Terrible then onto Mt Terrible South to Hope Track , were we will descend back down to Big River rd and head back to Cumberland Junction .
ETA around 4-5pm .
After all the ice and snow mud has melted , travel is at a lot slower pace overall as it's mainly a rocky base.
Mt Terrible track is pretty bumpy and slow going in sections. You just need to take it easy and slow in places.
Grip is good , air down to 25 psi is perfect for some comfort ( for my car anyway )
No diff locks needed.
It's all about fun and enjoyment and looking after your car .
Will be a great fun , scenic trip for all to Enjoy.
