This trip will be suitable for 4wders who have gain some experience and confidence in the past and would like some challenges to yourself and your vehicle.
The plan is to arrive on Fri night at Muttonwood Campground which is about 15 mins drive north of Licola. Before you enter Licola and just before you cross the bridge, veer right onto Tamboritha Road. Stay on Tamboritha Road for 15 mins until you see a sign post of Muttonwood Campground on your right. There are 2 entries of this camp. You can enter the either one of them.
I will put up a 4WDTRIP banner to indicate the camp.
On Sat, we will do Mt Margaret Track and continue onto Chromite Mine Track and finally onto B1 Track.
The track should be relatively easy, with a few challenging section mainly with rocky terrain. There are some good lookout throughout the route and will have plenty of photo opportunity. We will complete the loop and possibly head back to Muttonwood Camp. You may want to leave your camp/tent as a base camp on Sat morning so you don't need to setup your tent/swag again.
On Sun, we will head south towards to Licola and on the way, we will check out a few new tracks and helipad (POI) and they will loop back to Licola.
Plan to finish the trip by 2pm on Sunday.
You will need good set of AT tyres, recover gear and working winch.
