Calling one, calling all. Are you passionate about our bush? Do you love to 4wd, camp, motor bike ride, bush walk, horse ride? If you answered yes to any of these questions, we need YOUR help. Our beautiful bushland is being trashed by rubbish. Not only is it ruining our bush, we will all start to find tracks closed & we'll be shut out if something is not done. Don't keep ignoring it thinking someone else will take care of it, YOU are the someone else. "Clean up the bush" campaign is under way & we need you! A free campground with toilet facilities is being provided. Volunteers can camp from Friday 11 th December to Sunday 13th December. This "search" weekend will involve 4wdriving around designated areas of the Nerrina Forrest, Ballarat, searching & cateloging rubbish found which will be later ear marked for removal over a separate weekend. The "search" will run over the Saturday & Sunday. Volunteers are encouraged to camp at the grounds in their own form of camping, tent, camper trailer or caravan & the ONLY thing you need to provide, apart from your passion & enthusiasm is your own lunch for each day. Dinner will be provided on both the Friday & Saturday nights. Breakfast will be provided on both the Saturday & Sunday mornings. All equipment will be provided. If you can only come one of the days, it doesn't matter we still need your help. If you don't like camping, it doesn't matter, it's not too far away, we still need your help. If you need to leave earlier on the Sunday for other commitments, it doesn't matter we still need your help! If you'd prefer to ride your motor bike on the tracks, we especially need your help, you can get into places 4wdrives can't. If you want access & to preserve the bush for years to come, please, we need your help. Register your availability with us ASAP so we can send you a induction pack. Let's get involved!
If you intend to go on this trip, please go to files and download the document, read it, fill out details and return this to me asap to marcelgomperts@gmail.com

NO rubbish is to be removed at this phase no matter how large or small, the reason is that each site must be catalogued, then inspected by Parks. They check for chemical, asbestos and/or possible heritage value as well as markers that may lead to prosecution of those who litter. A second weekend will be announced where we go out with trailers to collect the documented rubbish. 4WD Vic and the clubs will organise with local council recycle and rubbish bins etc.etc.
