This trip is a weekend version of the day trip running November 21 and will allow a few more cars as we'll have more time. Route will be very similar for Day 1 to get to Woods Point, by heading from Warburton to Big River, across to Woods Point and then exploring locally.
Preference will be given to those on the 'interested' list from the Woods Point day trip who didn't get a spot, and if any day trip people want to swap to the weekender that's fine, but not both please to keep it availabe for others.
Day 2 will have some slightly more challenging tracks, German Spur, Knockwood maybe even Violet Town if the group is confident (if not we turn around based on whoever doesn't want to attempt it and it may be me !) and a small mineshaft explore so please bring a torch for every person in your car who may be interested in the mine. The tunnel is about 100 metres long.
You will need fuel for 2 days driving as it cant be relied on in Woods Point, suggest self sufficency for all food and drinks also although a countermeal is avaialbe at the WP pub for Saturday dinner if preferred. 5 minutes drive from our proposed camp at Scotts.
Low range, mild lift and A/T tyres will make this an easy trip for any slightly modded car, we are not out to break things, just have a nice time. Saturday will finish early to allow camp set up and regale around the fire if someone has a small chainsaw it will help us scrounge firewood.
